I was admitted to several T-14 law schools and have a deep understanding of what it takes to craft a compelling application, write personal statements that stand out, and crush an admissions interview. As a former Associate Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School, I have read thousands of applications front to back, and have a deep understanding of what top law schools are looking for. It is more than just trying to 'stand out' from the crowd. You will need to craft a highly compelling story so that you convince the admissions committee that you have amazing potential as a law student, AND you will make a valuable contribution. I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. I have expertise developing individualized time lines, school lists, letters of recommendation, resumes, essays (required and optional), character and fitness paragraphs, managing waitlists and even negotiating financial aid awards. I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

As a current JD/MBA Candidate at Stanford and a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, I bring a wealth of experience and insight from a variety of domains. My diverse professional background includes roles at McKinsey & Company, The White House, and fighter aviation in the U.S. Navy—providing me with a unique perspective on getting into multiple high-level, competitive programs. In college, I also served as an intern in The White House Office of Presidential Personnel, where I was personally responsible for several levels of vetting and admissions for political appointments, granting me back-end experience in insight into the minds of resume-readers. I found particular success in law school applications, being accepted to 14 of the top 16 programs. I have also previously coached a half-dozen individuals in law school admissions through Service to School, a non-profit helping veterans navigate the complexities of law school applications and secure spots at top programs. I served as a Marine Corps officer in the four years after graduating Yale where I learned how to lead teams and developed discipline and mental toughness . As a first generation professional, I understand how stressful navigating the law school admissions process can be for applicants. After a post-graduation public interest fellowship and some time in big law, I spent more than a decade working at two T14 law schools—the University of Chicago and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. My time working in legal education in both recruiting and student affairs means I am well-versed in how best to navigate the admissions process and select and succeed in the law school that is right for you.
