Should You Launch a Search? (Pay-It-Forward Session) This is a laid-back, exploratory conversation for anyone considering the ETA / Search Fund path. If you’re asking yourself “Is this the right move for me?”, this session is designed to share my experience and bounce some ideas. Workflow: ▶️One phone call (aprox. 60 minutes): An open conversation about your goals, motivations, and whether search fits your career and life plans. ▶️We’ll cover whatever is most useful to you: your personal goals, my own experience, the pros and cons of search, the different models (traditional, self-funded, accelerator), or other questions you have in mind. ▶️You’ll walk away with some insights that will help you decide whether a search makes sense for you now—or whether another path might be better. Why It’s Different ❗This is not a sales pitch—it’s a relaxed, honest conversation over the phone. I charge only a minimal fee to ensure time is respected, and 100% of proceeds go to Fundación Dadoris (fundaciondadoris.org), a foundation that promotes equal access to education and opportunity. If you’d prefer a video session with full focus and content tailored more deeply to your needs, you’re welcome to book a standard coaching session at my regular rate.

Traditional Searcher and Operator
I bring both personal and academic experience to coaching in the Search Fund and ETA space. I founded and raised a traditional search fund outside the US, securing commitments from investors across America, Spain, and the rest of the world. The fund was 100% oversubscribed in just three months, after which I led the sourcing process, acquired, and now operate an SME. My MBA at Kellogg gave me deep exposure to the US ETA ecosystem—through coursework, the Zell Fellows program, and peer collaboration—so I understand both US and international dynamics. Beyond my own journey, I’ve had first-hand exposure to self-funded search, as my wife successfully raised and acquired through that model. I also authored a paper on raising search capital, distilling insights on investor expectations and best practices for first-time searchers.
